Our mission

The primary mission of Bethany Lutheran Church and School Asaba is to proclaim and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation and beyond. Bethany Lutheran Church and School Asaba is a non-profit, “Give Back” initiative to God. The school is focused on working holistically with orphans and underprivileged, needy children and families in the community, addressing spiritual, educational, economic, social and physical needs.

Through the Gospel, we want to guide and give every child the opportunity to be nurtured and grow into a responsible, mature and fulfilled Christian adult. BLCS works with the community’s needy children and families in Asaba in the area of Cable Point, which is the most vulnerable.

What makes BLCS different is that the ministry programme is Christ-centred, provides a safe environment and focuses on Christian education and welfare. Every child will be given an opportunity for a healthy start, with guidance and nurturing that transforms their lives so they become successful adults in society.

It is our desire that everyone participates in this noble vision by joining hands together to help support the needy children in the community. Together we can help make a difference in the lives of children and families. I am pleased that you are part of our great BLCS programme.

Thank you, and may the mercy of the Almighty God follow you forever. Amen!

We focus on the social, academic and spiritual development of our students.

The school places an emphasis on high academic achievement, featuring careful instruction and a balanced curriculum based on research, best practice and rigorous academic standards.

Our dedicated, experienced, knowledgeable and skilful educators include teachers with NCE and Bachelor’s degrees in education, who teach, guide and inspire students to excel.

The Special Needs Scholarship Programme allows a student who meets certain eligibility requirements to receive a scholarship. We have experienced pastors and church workers who are available and willing to work with students and families.
